Meeting Place sign
Milton Keynes Arts Centre

This proposal for a meeting place sign at the Milton Keynes Arts Centre will aim to communicate and encourage participation. The message of the sign will only function after some kind of physical interaction. The interaction will demonstrate the role that everyone can play in activating the Arts Centre as a cultural and community hub.
Preface:
Milton Keynes Arts Centre bring’s together individuals, groups and families to build a community of people from Great Linford and the surrounding areas.

The Arts Centre fosters this community through a creative programme, developed for the local area. Through this particpation, members of this community find a common culture (shared values and ideas) developing their sense of identity within the larger city of Milton Keynes.

As the Arts Centre grows and the programme develops, it’s important to bring in new people from outside the local area which enrich the life of the Arts Centre and it’s community. Whether you are new to the Arts Centre or not, a sign can help affirm this role within the community.

The proposal for a meeting place sign at the Arts Centre will aim to communicate and encourage participation. The message of the sign will only function after some kind of physical interaction.
